  • Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS)

    If you would like a referral to the Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS), please follow the link below for further information.
     
    If you meet the eligibility criteria, submit a routine request via AskMyGP. A member of our team will then arrange for a pre-requisite questionnaire to be sent to you for completion.
     
    Eligibility criteria:
    Must be a resident in Suffolk
    Aged 18 years or over
    Motivated to achieve a healthy weight
    Have a BMI between 30 and 40*
    *Individuals from minority ethnic groups or those with an existing health condition may be eligible with a BMI between 27.5 and 40.
     
    Once your referral is received, the WMCOS team will review it and determine the most appropriate care pathway based on clinical priorities.
     
    If you do not meet the above criteria, we are unable to refer you to WMCOS. In this case, you may wish to consider alternative services such as Feel Good Suffolk.
