AskmyGP is available from 8:00am to 6:30pm during normal practice opening hours.
Please note:
Once capacity for urgent same-day appointments has been reached, the system will be closed for new urgent requests.
If this happens, you can still seek advice or support from:
- NHS 111
- NHS Online
- Your local pharmacy
These services can provide medical guidance and, if they believe you need to be seen by a member of our clinical team urgently, they will advise you to contact us directly. In that case, please call one of our Care Navigators on 01473 741349.
Even when urgent same-day capacity has been reached, askmyGP will remain open for:
- Routine requests
- Repeat medication requests
- Sick note requests
- Admin queries
- Other non-urgent enquiries via our custom action buttons
Important Reminders
- We aim to respond to all requests on the same day they are submitted, so please ensure you are available for contact on the day you submit your request – this could be by phone or via message on askmyGP.
- Please check your askmyGP account regularly for any messages from the practice to help avoid delays in processing your request.
- ‘Do not’ submit duplicate requests unless you have not received any response within 24 working hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
Provide as much detail as possible in your request, including:
- How long the medical issue has been present
- Whether you’ve been seen before and by whom
- If you’ve already spoken to a pharmacist or healthcare professional
- Routine appointments may not be addressed on the same day, but you will receive a response.
- Prescription requests may take up to 72 working hours to process (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
- Please ensure you provide your up to date contact number on your request.
