For some time, we have been working in partnership with the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB) to identify a long-term solution that meets the needs of our local community. We are pleased that following planning permission being granted last year for the building adjacent to Norwich Road Surgery, we have received approval from NHS England for the capital grant to enable the development of a new annex for the practice.
The proposed annex at the former Inkerman public house will provide six additional clinical rooms, along with waiting areas, administrative and ancillary spaces, and the potential for a group room and community facilities. The grant funding will ensure the new space is fully fit for purpose to deliver the additional space for the practice.
