Meningitis outbreak – Useful information

At present, we have not been notified of any change to national UK guidance regarding meningitis vaccination. We have not been advised to offer any additional or catch-up vaccinations outside of the routine schedule at this time.

What you should do:

  • Please check your vaccination history using the NHS App or your child’s Red Book.
  • The NHS App and the Air Mid UK app provide the most up to date record of all your vaccinations.

If national guidance changes, we will contact eligible patients directly.

When to seek medical help

If you or your child develop symptoms such as fever, severe headache, neck stiffness, sensitivity to light, vomiting, or a rash that does not fade, please seek urgent medical advice via NHS 111 or attend A&E if severely unwell.
